Morning Musume’s 39th single, ‘Shouganai Yume Oibito,’ has stolen the number one on the weekly Oricon charts. Unlike most people who see this as “Wow, it’s been a whole two years since they got a number 1! It’s about time!” I’m seeing this all as: “I didn’t think it could happen, but the Pandas garnered the number one spot.” Of course, this is also the first number one for Takahashi as leader and a well-deserved reward for the longest lineup in Morning Musume’s history.
Oh, hei, look Tsunku: a decent PV does help sales. Ha. Go figure. Wish we could have figured that out a couple years ago. Durn.
PS – Anyone wanna fly me out to LA? I want to see them so bad it isn’t even funny (I still will this summer, but I want to see their US debut more than just a regular concert).
