The music video for the title song of KARA’s 5th minialbum, PANDORA, has been released. When the music video started the first time through, I thought this was going to be a really positive review, but by the end of that and definitely two watches through later… I’m not so sure. There’s a lot that I love about “PANDORA”, but everything else… sucks. If you haven’t seen the music video yet, I’d suggest watching it now before I rip into it.
For their review of NU’EST’s debut single, allkpop.com closed with the note that the goddess of the group, Ren, looked strikingly similar to miss A’s leader Jia.

This was requested early last year by qwert. Sorry it took me this long to get to it. The ninth installment of my TOP! series (see the page above to learn more about the series) is my top 20 j- and k-idols. Again, that’s the smallest number I could muster. I’ll spare you of the honorable mentions, though. In order to keep the list doable, I kept it to members of idol groups (past and present). It was also a very hard list, so some of the ones I would have put in here had to be cut. Also, I only put one member per group to keep the list from being all Super Junior, SHINee, SNSD, or BIG BANG.
There’s way too much that goes on on a daily basis to keep up with Kpop. I like rounding it all up at once.
First of all, the new friggin huge boy group, who REALLY seems like the male SNSD, ZE:A, is a cheap rip-off every other Kpop boy group out there. Track one, “Love Coach”: Hello, every single song Super Junior’s ever done and half of SS501 and T-MAX. Track two, “New Star”: [a failed attempt at] BIG BANG, newer Super Junior, and all of them new hip hop groups that debuted this year that I haven’t kept up with. And the title track, “Maseltov”? Wai hallo thar 2PM, and even more pathetic, f(x) and 2NE1.
The group completely lacks originality, so if you’re wondering whether or not to bother with them or not? Don’t. It’s so not worth it.
A couple thoughts have been jumbling around my head, but none of them are significant to have their own post. So!
First, Namie Amuro’s new album!
I love PAST < FUTURE. I love the new image she wants for herself. The music, the vocals, and the her. Everything’s awesome. This is without a doubt my favorite of her albums, and that includes Best Fiction.
Next, lots of Super Junior.
I really enjoy their new live album! Almost everything is remixed, and it’s made a lot of songs that I hated, such as “Miracle” quite enjoyable! Donghae’s solo “Beautiful” and Ryeowook’s “Insomnia” really stood out to me.
But, uh, rofl! SiWon, seriously? A Casting Crowns song? We all know you’re Christian, but that and idolism are quite the opposites. I recognized the song, but when I finally realized what it was, I had a huge “wtf?!” moment before uncontrollable laughter.
And omg, “Gee”. That is absolutely BRILLIANT. I couldn’t stop laughing. I’m so so so delighted that they included this on the album! XDD (Feels a bit incomplete without JoKwon, though.)
Next, tried Kara. They bore me. “Honey” is catchy, but I can’t find another song I like. Their lead singer isn’t very attractive. Yawn.
Finally, I have officially fallen in love with SS501. Can I marry HyunJoong or YoungSaeng please? <333
